CONVERSION LOAN

DOMINION RESPONSE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Holders of Government stock and debentures normally maturing in July and November this year and March, 1943, responded well to the Government’s conversion offer announced by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, halfway through the present month. Already £13,800;000 has been subscribed. The whole conversion offer involved £21,250,000 of the public debt. Mr. Nash added that the total cash asked for to date was less than £70,000 and the result was very satisfactory.
