COUNTY ELECTIONS

FEW SEATS INVOLVED Only a few seats in the gift of county electors in the Osborne district will be contested to-morrow, the great majority of seats having been filled without the necessity for polling. Cook County In the Cook County, contests will be held in respect of only three ridings, as under: — Gisborne Riding (Two Seats) Campbell, Richard Graham, Roland “Tietjen. Chas. Fredk. Muriwai Riding (One Seat) * Bowen, Fredk. Small Whataupoko Riding Figg. Alfred Bert 'Gordon, .lames Thos. The Cook County oflices will be the chief polling place, and votes will be cast there for all ridings. In the Gisborne riding, additional polling places will be at the Makaraka-Matn-whero Ilall, tiro Makauri School, the Waerenga-a-Hika School and the Ormond School. For the Muriwai riding, additional polling places will be at the Manutuke Memorial Hall, the Muriwai School, and the Wharcrata Post Office; While for the Whataupoko riding, additional polling places will be at Chaoell's Store, Ormond road, and the Parish Hall, Wainui Beach. WAIAPU COUNTY In the Waiapu County, polls will be held for seats representing the Pirv(arau riding (two seats) and the

Tokomaru riding (two seats). The nominations are:— Piritarau Riding Jackson, Herbert Milburn Kirk, Arthur William Te Itapu, Hami Tokomaru Riding Fnirlie. Herbert H. Oates, Joseph Wilkins, Alfred N. Votes may -be cast at the county office, at Te Puia, in respect of ei-hcr riding contest. Additional polhnt places for the Piritarau riding will be at the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Companys’ store at Ruatoria, and at the public library, Waipiro Bay; while for the Tokomaru Pay riding, pollmg places are established at the Tokomaru Bay Harbour Board’s office, the Masonic Hall, Tokomaru Bay. and Mrs. M. J. Watts’ residence, Arero.
