Treasured Maori Relic
Mr. Riki Mairaki Taiaroa, of Tauniutu, recently handed to the Rev. E. Te Tuhi and the Rev. R. P. Rakena a treasured tribal possession tc be preserved for all time in the Centennial Memorial Museum of the Methodist Church at Otalcou, according to the Methodist Times. It is a genuine kawa-kawa greenstone showing primitive Maori workmanship. For seven generations it has been handed down as an heirloom of South Island Maoris.
