EASTER MEETINGS Riding engagements announced for the first day of the Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday include: —E. Bartels, June Tide; A. C. Messervy, Foxsen, Acreman; J. Chaplin, Rarotonga, Rey Lu; S. Tremain, Hunting King; P. Atkins, Kathbella, Burra Sahib; G. Cameron, Royal Appellant; H. C. Maria, Agog, Master Appellant; R. W. McTavish, Route March, Pirate King, Miss Gay, Corot; F. Beguely, Topelte; C. B. Goulsbro, Hunting Bee, Betlerman, Monte Cristo; F. Cleaver, Radiant Vaals, Lapidarian; N. R. McKenzie, Court Favourite; C. G. Goulsbro, Brazen Bold, Opuatia; F. Beguely, Ascot Bloom; E. Meynell, Sporting Bronze; B. 11. Morris, Belle Cane, Suleiman.
Other riding engagements are:—F. Power, Native Chief, St. Bill, Native Song and Roeon, at Tauhercnikau; G. Stowe, Captain Star, at Tauhercnikau; T. Winiata, Master Cyklon and Katesbridge, at Tauherenikau; R. G. Howell will ride Authoress and Blandisher the first day at Feilding and then go on to Riccarton for Easter Monday and Tuesday. W. J. Mudlord, Red Cat, Gladynev, Ring Chief, Support (second day), Hinerangi and Black Robe, at Feilding; N. Caveney, Indian Son, at Feilding; R. Marsh, Queen Cardine and Indian Son (second day), at Feilding; A. E. Lord, Mataroa, at Feilding; W. J. Broughton the first day at Tauherenikau will ride Lambourn, Lady Quintette, Dainty Dell and Battle Gain; H. P. Stewart will ride Endorsement at Feilding; 11. J. Callahan has been booked for Singapore at Wairarapa.
