AUSTRALIAN PROPOSAL NEWS FOR THE FORCES (Reed. April 9, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY. April 9. The Commonwealth Government contemplates building and is at present considering details of the most powerful short-wave broadcasting station in the Southern Hemisohere, costing in <!k> vicinity of £250,000. It will bo
used to transmit news to the Australian overseas forces and later for general Australian publicity purposes.
1 he station will be comparable with a E.B.C. and big American stations.
