Britain has decided that Hungary is now territory under enemy occupation. As from to-day, therefore, Hungary will be regarded as an enemy destination for contraband purposes, and goods of Hungarian origin or ownership arc liable to seizure. It was reported yesterday that the Governments of Hungary, Bulgaria and Rumania had protested to Yugoslavia against attacks on their towns. The Bulgarian protest stated that no Bulgarians were fighting against Yugoslavia, but the Germans do not attempt to conceal the extent to which they are using all three countries for the onslaught on Yugoslavia and Greece. The German news agency said that the citizens of Budapest lined the streets on Sunday welcoming the German troops. Hungary joined Germany and Italy in closing external communications during the night. M. Bardossy. the new Prime Minister of Hungary, telegraphed to Signor Mussolini announcing the assumption of office and asking for Signor Mussolini's "precious support.” The Croat "Quisling.” Dr. Pavelic, also appealed to Signor Mussolini for help in creating a "free Croatia.”
