Alma Baker, aged 84, the rubber planter and tin miner who ' recently made a gift to the Minister of Aircraft Production, Lord Beaverbrook, of £30,000 for fighter aircraft, and who intimated in the event of his death that he had arranged to continue war contributions from his estate, Mr. Baker was well known in New Zealand, where he lived for many years. He gained fame as a big game fisherman.
