(Herald Correspondent.) Mrs. I. Priestly was a week-end visitor to Gisborne and returned on Monday to stay with her sister, Mrs. O. Heikell. —Mrs. Smith and Gary spent the week-end in Gisborne. —Mr. and Mrs. J. Lawrence are leaving on Thursday to spend the Easter vacation at Tolaga Bay with friends. —Mr. and Mrs. M. Breingan and their two children, Neil and Juliet, are leaving on Saturday lo spend a fortnight's holiday with the latter’s parents in Tauranga.

Last. Sunday .the monthly celebration of Holy mass was conducted in flic Y.M.C.A. by Father von Rotter, of the Orniond parish. The Rev. Mr. Mataira, Manutuke. also visited Bartlqtts and celebrated Holy communion in ■ the Y.M.C.A. on Sunday morning. , Mr. F. Hutchins has returned from Wpiouru military camp after completing three months’ territorial training.
