“Cross” System of Voting
The proposed introduction of the “cross” system of voting at all municipal and local body elections is welcomed by Mr. N. C. Harding, Hastings Borough returning officer, and a vicepresident of the Town Clerk’s Institute. He contends that the new system will be the means of considerably reducing the number of informal votes. "At the last election more than one voting paper in 10 was informal.
