NEW FIRE SERVICE

The finance committee of the Christchurch City Council has approved of the payment of more than 65718 as the city’s share in the new fire fighting service being set up by the Government to deal with emergencies. This grant is contingent on other local authorities contributing their share and provision for the amount to be spent will be made out of the next year's estimates.
