JOCKEYS INJURED

Just after being mounted by E. V. Dye to contest the Karangahake Handicap at Paeroa on Saturday, Funny Fox reared over and gave her rider a heavy fall. Dye remounted and rode Funny Fox. and later Sharmin and Sunny Downs, after winch he had to receive medical attention and forgo the rest of his mounts. When he fell he injured his ribs, and lie will probably have to have a short rest before he resumes riding. Concussion, a broken collarbone and minor injuries were suffered by O. Evans when Gay Seton fell in the Handicap Hurdles. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital.
