N.Z HORSES ENGAGED RIDERS FOR NEWMARKET (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Asss.) (Reed. Feb. 26. 11.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 26. New Zealand horses engaged at the Mentone meeting to-day include Turncoat, 8.8, and Illiades, 7.0, in the first division of the Lambourn Handicap, and Pt'.encia. 8.13, in the second division. Bankshaw, 9.5, and Nightbeam, 7.12, are engaged in the Berkshire Mile. Lucullv ' Lad, 8.7, and Strategy, 8.1, have accepted for the Plate. The Newmarket Handicap candidate. Operatic, has 8.6 in the Newmarket Trial to-morrow. M. McCarten will 'ride Ind.ustry, E. Bartle High Caste, F. SheaTi Gold Salute, and H. Badger All Veil in the Newmarket Handicap on Saturday. Keelie has been scratched for all his Flemington engagements.
