VITAL WAR SUPPLIES AMERICAN CONTROL MR. HOPKINS ON BOARD (Reed. Feb. 22, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 21. Mr. Harry L.’Hopkins has been appointed a member of the office of the Production Management Planning Board which deals with plans for long term defence work. It is believed that Ihe appointment is related to early Eritish and American collaboration to deprive the Japaneseof vital war supplies. The new post gives Mr. Hopkins, WhO is reported to have brought bac,t a -British proposal for such measureagainst Japan, great influence in the distribution of war ma.eriak.
