AMERICAN PASSPORTS
REPLACEMENT PROPOSED PROTECTIVE MEASURE (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this dav. The American Consul at Wellington has received telegraphic advice lmn Washington that American passprrts now in use are to be replaced. This action has been taken, the consul is informed, as a measure to meet the special conditions now prevailing in the world. New green coloured passports will be issued in New Zealand by the American Consulate-General in Wellington and the American Consulate in Auckland.
At a date to be announced, probably in April, ail foreign Governments will be notified that the familiar red passports are no longer valid.
