Rcady For Shipment The Lady Galway Patriotic Guild's Gisborne branch has ready for shipment overseas a laz-ge number of cases of clothing for the use of refugee and air-raid victims in the United Kingdom. and with the re-opening of active sewing meetings the volume of clothing for export will increase materially. The first meeting of the new year was held on Monday, when it was decided to change the working schedule as from next week to full days on Tuesdays and half-days on Thursdays. Mesdames Somerville and Mitchell, convenors of the Mangapapa and Whataupoko area circles respectively, reported that their circles in future would use the central zone’s workrooms. The secretary stated that a large number of individual gifts had been received during the recess, and also two cases from the Waipiro Bay Ladies’ Sewing Circle and two parcels from the Waingake and Ngatapa women’s institutes.
