COMPLETE EFFORT
‘MUST GIVE ALL WE HAVE’ NO TIME FOR ARGUMENTS HON. A. HAMILTON’S VIEWS (Pur Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. "New Zealand is making a mighty good war effort. Let no one belittle it,” said the Hon. A. Hamilton, a membar of the War Cabinet, addressing the Burnham-trained troops on Saturday. "Before ‘ the struggle goes much further that will be intensified, and in support of you who comprise our fighting forces we at home must give all we have.”
No praise was too high for the part the soldiers were to play, Mr. Hamilton added, and this was the appropriate opportunity to repeat a thought he had had since the conflict began—the first job was to win the war and the first aim 1 victory. Nothing that they could consider to-day, no matter how personal or how important it might appear to be, could be placed before the war and the part they had to play in it. "I believe it is the duty of the leaders in the community lo take that view,” continued Mr. Hamilton. “I stand for a. complete war effort. ~, If there are arguments, I am prepared to leave them in the meantime. This job is too serious.”
