TAKEN BY SHARK
SAMOAN’S DISAPPEARANCE APIA, Dec. 5. A shark tragedy occurred at Fogasavaii, Savaii, when a native, aged 42, was bonito fishing near the reef. By some means the paopao was capsized and the man attempted to pick up a fish that was floating while his companions made for the reef. The others in the party heard him call out and saw a flurry in'the water and the man suddenly disappeared. The fins of a large shark were plainly seen. Search was made for the body, but no trace has been found.
