Land for State Forest

A substantial area of high country in North Canterbury, comprising 52,932 acres, or about 82 square miles, has been proclaimed a permanent State forest by notice in the latest Gazette. The land consists of one grazing run and portion of another. It is hounded in part by the Hurunui River and Lake Sumner.
