Last N'oßEs Forecast General Situation.—An anti-cyclone is centred oyer the North Island, but pressure is beginning to fall in the south under the influence of a complex disturbance in the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Winds freshening from a northerly quarter about and south pf Cook Strait, and becoming strong tomorrow in some exposed positions; elsewhere, light to moderate and variable,'with’ easterly directions predominating. Seas: In New Zealand waters, slight to moderate but rising south of Westport and in Cook Strait. Eastern Tasman Sea: In the northern portion, moderate northerly winds and moderate seas; fresh to strong north - weeferli.es in ihe central and southern portions, with rather rough to rough seas; a ghange to fresh south-wester-lies later in the south. Weather: Cloudy ,to overcast in Westland, with light fain developing to-morrow from the south; conditions elsewhere continuing fair to fine, but with some morning fog or drizzle in eastern and far southern districts of the South Island.
