NAPIER STATION
IMPROVED FACILITIES
Alterations are being made in the Napier railway station and yards, most of which are directed at improving the facilities connected with the running of traffic on the East Coast line. New sets of rails have been laid down to enable East Coast traffic to have an almost uninterrupted run into and from the station, and further rails are to be laid. Preparations are being made for the construction of a new platform for the railcars making the Wairoa run. Other minor improvements which are being carried out will assist in the smooth handling of the rolling stock that passes through the station.
