BISHOP’S ADVICE

‘INTERN ALL DISLOYALISTS’ SYDNEY, June 7. Bishop Pilcher, in an address to the .Legacy Club yesterday, said that he was emphatically of the opinion that not only disloyal refugees, but all persons in Australia who were disloyal to the Government and the Empire should be interned. He protested, however, against giving effect to any proposal for the indiscriminate internment of all refugees. He suggested that the Commonwealth Government should set up tribunals, preferably with a judge as chairman, to examine the evidence for And against internment of individual refugees. Bishop Pilcher also said that the Federal Parliament should pass legislation to 'permit refugees to fight on the side of the Allies.
