INFANTILE PARALYSIS
SISTER KENNY’S METHODS NEW YORK, June 5. The University of Minnesota Medical School was so impressed by Sister Kenny’s methods of treating infantile paralysis that it petitioned the United States Paralysis Foundation for a grant for recording her methods. The grant has been accorded, and Sister Kenny will remain in the United States for another five months. She stated that the professor of Orthopaedic Surgery from the university had declared her visit was important to America, and said he was extremely impressed by her demonstration that the orthopaedic procedure here and in Australia caused deformities and contractures and that patients suffering under such treatment when transferred to Sister Kenny began to show a vital improvement.
