Mr. C. E. Nurse fiaS returned from a visit to Christchurch. —Miss Kuera Beale, Puketiti station, has returned from a holiday visit to Milford Sound. Mr. B. J. Smith, who has been postmaster at Waipiro Bay for close on four years, has been transferred to Kaiwaka, north of Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Smith expect to leave Waipiro Bay on Thursday. Miss Joan Williams lias been appointed postmistress at Waipiro Bay. The Roy. A. R. 11. and Mrs. .Morris and family are the guests of Mr, and Mrs. M, U. Mander, Riverside road, Gisborne, Members of the Waipiro Bay Ladies’
Patriotic Sowing Circle have a good assortment of new and reconditioned clothing packed ready for shipment to London for distribution among Belgian refugees. Members have agreed lo meet weekly to make comforts for the soldiers and also to continue making garments for refugees.
