SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL m* (Herald Corrcspondant.) The Kopuawhara Basketball Club held a very successful social and dance in the No. 3 Camp Hall on Saturday evening. Several competitions were held, the following being the,winhcrs:.Blaek-Qi:l Waltz: Mr. A. T. Raos and Mrs. W. Bennett. Movie Star Dance: Mr. M. Erceg and Miss. M. Bradley. Monte ,Carlo: Mr. K. Rarere and Miss Dorothy Ferguson. “Miss X” Competition: Miss V. Wairoa. Men’s Hat-making Competition: Mr., L. E. Media. Bottle Dance: Mr. Harry Taylor and Mrs. J. J. Elliott. Music for the dance was supplied by Mr. C. W. Corkiii. rind extras by Mr. Tom Barrett and Mr. K. Rarere. Mrs. Lionel Anderson is visiting Hastings.—Mrs.. R. Rang! and infant have returned home.—Miss Joan Deighton, of the Kopuawhara School teaching staff, has returned from sick leave. Miss Betty Stewart, of the Kopuawhara Y.M.C.A. staff, has received notice of her transfer to Hobsonvil.lc at an early date. MisS Stewart has been employed in the post office for the past three years, and has proved very popular with everyone. Miss Stewart takes up a similar position at Hobsonville.
