CAR'S DIVE INTO STREAM

When Mr. A Horton, district representative of Messrs. Thos. Borlhwick and Sons, was driving his car along a road leading from Mr. D. McCoard’s farm at Okahukura, near Taiimarunui, a 40ft. bridge collapsed and the car dived into the stream. Mr. McCoard was standing on the runningboard when the accident occurred, and when he, fell into the stream he was •pinned between the car and a wire fence. Mr. Horton, owing to the fact that the car was on its side, had some -difficulty in extricating himself, but as soon as he did so he released Mr.. McCoard
