BURGLAR GAOLED t (Pur Press Association.) - WELLINGTON, this day. In sentencing Norman Stanley Buchanan, aged 24, to 18 months’ imprisonment for stealing money and goods at Wellington, the magistrate Mr. J. L. Stout, in the' Police Court yesterday said the man was regarded by the police as one of the.most active criminals in New Zealand and an absolute menace. The accused, who recently came up from the south, entered the Alexandra and Bethany Hospitals by the fire escapes, went thrpugh the rooms, and also through the Harris Hospital. ; " A , On a charge of breaking, entering and theft at Washdyke, he was remanded to June 7.
