CHARGE OF MURDER
TRAGEDY AT WAIKINO ACCUSED REMANDED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Making his second appearance in the Police Court since his arrest. Douglas Herbert Carfman, aged 23, a trucker, of Waihi. appeared before Mr. C. 11. Orr-Walker in the Police Court yesterday, charged that on April 2. at Waikino, he did murder Alice Elizabeth Hamilton. On the application of the police, he was remanded to Waihi on June 10. Mr. McCarthy, for Cartman, con* sented to the remand.
