MINING INDUSTRY
AGREEMENT ACCEPTED (Pit Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A plebiscite of the United Mine Workers’ Union on the new coal mines agreement has resulted in a big majority in favour of acceptance of the agreement.
Work at. the mines covered by the national agreement, which includes all the principal collieries in the Dominion, therefore will be carried on under the terms of (lie new agreement as from and including June 1.
