AUSTRALIAN PAPERS REDUCTION IN JULY (Elec. Tbl. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. May 29. 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, May 28. The Minister of Customs, Senator G. McLeav. announced to-day that rationing of newsprint will begin, in Australia on July 1., He said that the plan agreed to would cut consumption considerably. Daily papers exceeding 72 pages per week would be subjected to a 35 per cent reduction. ' Sunday papers ex* ceeding 24 to 32 pages will be subjected to a reduction of 25 per cent, those exceeding 32 to 48 pages 30 per cent, and those exceeding 48 pages 35 per cent.
