N.Z. WAR POLICY

PARTY DISCUSSIONS , EMERGENCY CONFERENCE The war policy of the New Zealand Government, and its implications, were discussed at length at the monthly meeting of the Gisborne branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, held in the Selvyn Hall on Monday evening, Mr. E. Harris presiding. There was a good attendance of members, and keen interest was shown in the announcements already made concerning the Government’s plans to meet the latest emergency. A telegram was received. from the national office of the party referring to the emergency conference to be held in Wellington on June 3. The conference is to discuss various aspects of the war policy evolved by the Government. Mr. A. Hudson was appointed to attend the conference as delegate of the Gisborne branch of the Labour Party.
