By eight voles lo four, the Wellington Education Board nas auinl-red to its previous decision not to admit representatives of the NavV League into the schools under its control. Remembered Te Kooti Mrs. Edith Ellen Alexander, who has died in Hamilton, aged 74, vividly remembered the days when Te Kooti and his tribe performed war hakas on the spot where the Cambridge Town Hall now stands, and terrorised the neighbouring districts. Her brother was file first White child born in Cambridge.
