Mangaoapa C 6: Wesley 19, St. Mary’s C 22; High School C 34, St. Mary’s C 3 0; Ay ton House 17. Eastwood’s C 7. Tuis v. High School A.— This game was interesting to watch and the teams evenly matched. The Tuis team was well on form and the combination of the players was. as usual, very .good. In the defence third the intercepting was outstanding and the High School goalies found it difficult to get the ball into the goal circle. This was the first game of the season for the High School team and the combination equalled that of their opponents although the shooting was not so good. Misses Dora McAneney and Wik’ Tureia were most outstanding in the High School tearoIfuia v. H.S.O.G. A. —The game was fast and held the interest of the spectators throughout. The Huia team combined well, but the passing was long. The snooting was very accurate in the goal third, and if the three goalies in this team all endeavoured to take more chances at the goal instead of passing out. there would be greater hope of victory. H.S.O.G "flayed a very good game and the combination was excellent. The goalies did very well and the shooting war good. Much jumping was seen on thh side, and throughout the game the passing was swift and sure.

H.S.O.G. A2 v. St. Mary’s A.—This was, perhaps, the most exciting game of the day. The St. Mary’s team wa? well on form and played excellently. The combination was very good and he shooting accurate. Miss T. Stevens .n the goal third was outstanding ir her jumping and shooting. The defence was very strong and seldom alloweo’ the ball to get to the goal. H.S.O.G played pluckily, but found their opponents too superior. At the commencement of the game the shooting wa; poor on this side, but as the "game continued play improved. The defence players were very good, and most outstanding was Miss M. Jago. Marathon v. WooUvortlis.—The Marathon team has much improved and this game proved an interestin' contest. The goalies in the Marathor team played well, especially Miss N Ansell. In the centre third Miss V Masemann jumped and interceptec brilliantly. The Woolworths’ tearr played a good defensive game and kept their opponents very busy. The goalies in this team were outstanding and jumped well.

Mangapapa Bv. Eastwoods B.—The Eastwoods team is unfortunate in having to play the leading B Grade r eams at the beginning of the season, 'lowever, they are a plucky team and ire very keen and these qualities will help to success. The Mangapapa team had a fairly easy victory, being more superior players and * having die combination. The shooting in this team was good.

Kaiti v. McKenzies.—The play of .he Kaiti team has improved greatly and combination is more marked. The passes are still too long and at times careless. Miss J. Stevenson played good defensive game and intercepted .veil. The players should jump more VlcKenzies still pass■ carelessly and he shooting is poor, but on the whole he team has improved and the pla> md players are promising.

High School B v. Cash Stores.—This vas the first game of the season for lie High School team and they played veil. Play was good in all thirds and passing swift and sure. The Cash Stores team had poor combinatoin because of long passes and careless hrowing, but shooting in the goal bird was good and some of the players showed great promise. Caledonian v. Y.M.C.A.—Caledonian played a scrappy game. The goal shooting was poor and passes too high and long.. The defence played well and in the goal third and the scouting was good, although this was overshadowed by inaccurate shooting. Y.M.C.A. played an even game throughout. A little keenness in this team would go a long way. H.S.O.G. v. St. Mary’s B.—This was an evenly contested game and play throughout was good. Miss Stella Hamilton played well for H.5.0.G., shooting with seldom a miss. Combination on both sides was marked. The centres in the St. Mary’s team played well and Miss P. Hogan in the goal third was outstanding., St. Mary’s B v. Y.M.C.A.—Parts of this game were scrappy, but as it continued the play becamg more settled. The Y.M.C.A. team tend to bunch together too' much and this spoils clean definite play. St. Mary’s played well. St. Mary’s C v. Mangapapa C.—For C Grade play this game was outstanding. From beginning to end the play was fast and even. Passing on both sides was swift and sure and combination excellent. Wesley v. St. Mary’s C.—Passing in the Wesley team v>as good, especially in the centre third and shooting in the goal third, accurate. Miss D. Lentel was outstanding in the goal third. High School C v. St. Mary's C. This was an easy victory for the High School team, which played a good game. St. Mary's team was weak. Ayton House v. Eastwoods C. Ayton House is a new team this season and this was the first game played. They did well as a C Grade team.
