SUPPORT BY SENATE NO PLANE EXPORT LIMIT DRIVE AGAINST ALIENS (Recat May 23, 2.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 22. The Senate over-rode the efforts of Republican members to modify President , Roosevelt’s recommendations approving of the allotment of £33,000,000, half in cash and half in contract authority for expenditure at President Roosevelt’s discretion and rejecting Senator Danaher’s amendment to restrict warplane export to two-thirds of the factory output. Mr. Martin Dies in the House of Representatives moved a resolution for the expulsion of Nazi, Fascist and Communist aliens as well as sympathisers and also the deportation of aliens who after their entry were found to be Nazis, Fascists, Communists or habitual criminals.
