ITALIAN VICTIMS
RAIDING BY NAZIS SHIP REACHES EIRE (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, May 22. The Italian vessel Fidelitas, two of whose crew were killed and three wounded in a bombing and machinegun raid by German planes on Antwerp, has reached Cork. The ship was prevented by the hostilities from discharging her cargo of grain at Antwerp. All other ships except four Italian vessels had left the port when the Fidelitas suffered losses in the bombing raid. She then left for Ireland for safety.
