To Whom Honour is Due
Sir, —May I pay on to all who sent gifts of children’s clothing through the Victoria League in London some months ago the thanks of the recipients. The secretary of the association caring for the families of airmen or soldiers and sailors described it as a most generous and truly wonderful gift. Our league packed and dispatched the box, but in addition to nearly 100 beautifully made garments from the W.D.F.U there were parcels from several Women’s Institutes and many individual donors. The knowledge that our gifts have been so welcome, encourages us to carry on the good work. The W.D.F.U. has another splendid collection to forward through the Red Cross Society. The Victoria League asks each of its members to bring a garment, not necessarily new and not exclusively for children, to the meeting next Monday, or they may leave parcels at the home of Mrs. H. H. De Costa, who has kindly offered to provide a depot for contributions to the case which we hope to dispatch to Victoria League Headquarters early next month. A. L. Rees, President, Victoria League.
