Mr. C. G. M. Boyce, headmaster of the Christchurch East School since 1929, will retire on May 20. Mr. Boyce has been teaching for more than 40 years.
Archbishop and Mrs. Averill have left Auckland for a holiday visit to the south. While in Christchurch Archbishop Averill will instal his successor in the Primacy, Bishop Campbell West-Watson.
