BACONERS ADVANCE There was a full yarding of all classes of pigs at Opotiki. Competition was keen for baconers at slightly advanced rates. Porkers were sold under keen competition at late rates. Butter-milk and store pigs sold under keen competition at slightly increased rates. Quotations: —Heavy prime baconers, £3 17s Gd to £4 3s; medium. £3 12s Gd to £3 17s Gd; light. £3 5s to £3 10s; heavy porkors. £2 12s Gd to £2 17s Gd; light, £2 5s to £2 7s Gd; chop pers, £3 10s to £4; butter milk pigs, £2 12s Gd to £3; slips, £1 12s Gd to £1 15s; weancrs, 10s to 15s.
