Cefiringo Garcia, lOst. 12Jlb„ and Henry Armstrong, lOst. 21b., fought a -avage 10-round bout at the Gilmore Stadium for the middleweight boxing title. The fight ended in a draw. Armstrong lost points for butting and low punches. Both men were badly battered.
