HONORARY STAFF
HOSPITAL SERVICE SUGGESTED FEE SCALE PROPOSALS IN DUNEDIN (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. After a full committee discussion of Ihe proposals for the staffing of the Dunedin Hospital, the Otago Hospital Board, at a meeting on Thursday night, decided to approve of a report on staffing with the addition of the following clause, which was approved by lay members after hearing the views of the committee representing the honorary medical staffs: “For the four main hospitals, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and intermediate hospitals of Palmerston North, Wanganui, Napier, Timaru, and Invercargill, and the smaller hospitals of Oamaru and Hastings, payment should be on a sessional computation based on the Brisbane figures, namely, £3 10s for three hours, £2 10s for two hours; juniors, £2 10s for three hours, £2 for two hours; assistants, £2 for three hours, £1 10s for two hours. The actual payment should be made by annual salary up to a limit of £650,” the addition being that the actual payment should be by annual salary up to a limit of £650 for seniors and £4OO for juniors.
