The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, February 26, is balanced at £43,891.849, or £1,592,083 more than at the close of the previous week. The sterling exchange reserve has increased by £1,329,831 in value, this rise bringing the total to more than | £10,000,009. Notes and other demand i liabilities are more than £1,700,000 | higher in the aggregate principally bej cause of a rise of £1,333.000 in the jdeposits of the trading banks. The ! ratio is 32.812 per cent, compared with 30.79 per cent the previous week. Advances lo the Primary Products | Marketing Department are £66.194 higher.
