PICNIC AT MORERE
NUHAKA SCHOOL PUPILS PARENTS HELP TEACHERS (Jferald Correspondent.) A delightful time was spent at Morere this week, when the Nuhaka Public School held ijs annual picnic on Mr. W. Tait’s property. The teachers were very pleased tc ?ce so many -parents taking an active oart in making it a happy outing for the children. Most of the time was occupied with ports and swimming in the hot orings open air bath. A feature of the swimming was an exhibition oi aney diving and swimming given by a party from Gisborne. In the absence of the chairman, Mr. T B. Steele, on behalf of the Nuhaka School Committee, thanked the teachers and parents for then colperation. A vote of thanks was recorded Mr. Tait for the use of hitproperty. An ample supply of eatables was provided by the parents. Results of the events were:— Running.—Primers, under 6.— Girls: VI.
