HURRICANE FIGHTER
CANADIAN PRODUCTION FIRST MACHINE ARRIVES (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.30 p.m. RUGBY, Feb. 29. I The first Hawker Hurricane fighter built in Canada' arrived in England to-day. Built by the Canadian Car and Foundry Company, it is the first of a series of similar aircraft which will be delivered in the near future. The constructors form part of a group carrying out orders for aircraft placed by the United Kingdom Government with the Dominions. This Hurricane, which was built to the normal British specifications, has already carried out test flights in Canada which were satisfactory in every way.
