The launching of the new Commonwealth loan found to-day’s investment market on the Sydney Stock Exchange dull and irregular, with bonds easier. Sales included: Bank of New South Wales, £2B ss; Bank of Australasia, £9 ss; Howard Smith, £1 4s Gd; Tooth and Company, £2 12s 6d; Tooheys, Limited, old, £1 8s 3d; Kandos Cement, £1 8s; United Provisions, 9s 3d; Electrolytic Zinc, £2 16s 3d; Broken Hill Proprietary, £2., 8s ljd; Emperor Gold, 14s sd; Kanieri Gold, £1 11s. Morning sales included: Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, £l9 2s; Tooheys, Limited, 28s 3d; Tooth and Company, 52s 6d; Australian Gas “A,” £6 15s; Anthony Hordern, 13s 3d; Associated News, 15s Gd; British Tobacco, 48s 6d; Broken Hill Proprietary, 48s; Farmers, Limited, 26s 6d. Sales on the Stock Exchange of Melbourne to-day included: —G. J. Coles, £3 12s; Australian Paper Manufacturers, pref., £1 5s 9d; Mount Lyell, £1 13s- Mount Morgan, 10s 2d; Loloma Gold,’£l. 12s 4d; Broken Hill Proprietary, £2 8s 2d.
