WIN BY TOLAGA BAY VISIT FROM TOKOMARU (Herald Correspondent.) Fine weather and good courts favoured the Tolaga Bay Tennis Club when it defeated the Tokomaru Bay club in Tolaga Bay. Some good play was witnessed. Results were as follows, Tolaga Bay players being mentioned first in each case:— Men’s Singles.—White lost to Paerata, 10—8; Bartram lost to Jefferd, 9—3; Thornton d. Glen, 9 —3; Holmes lost to Busby, 9—4; Mason lost to Cooke, 9 —l. Men’s Singles.—White and Bartram lest to Paerata and Jefferd, 6—3, 3—6; Thornton and Holmes d. Glen and Busby, 6—3, B—6; Mason and Scragg d Cooke and Dodgshun, 9—7, 6—3. Women's Doubles. —Misses Methven and Thornton d. Misses Busby and Atkins, 6—4, 6—3; Misses R'eid and Green d. Misses Beale and Glen, 6—4, 3 g, 6—o; Misses Mason and Bartram d. Misses Chaplin and Olsen, 6—3, ° Combined Doubles.—White and Miss Methven lost to Paerata and Miss Busby, 7 —5, 2 —6, 6 —2; Bartram and Miss Thornton d.
