GISBORNE CLUB PLANS INTER-HOUSE EVENTS ’ At last night’s meeting of the com- •" • e of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club it was decided to hold a further sjfcrts meeting after Easter, on April 2, in which the various mercantile firms would be invited to enter teams to compete on an inter-house basis. The sports bodies at Te Karaka and Tolaga Bay hsd invited Gisborne athletes to compete ,at their Easter meetings and the club members were asked to see committee members in order to have their nominations in prior to the closing dates. The committee passed a vote of thanks to the members of Katranski’s inter-house sports team, who forwarded a donation to the club for the use of the grounds for training purposes. The following team is travelling to Napier to represent the club at the centre championships: L. Grey, B. Quinn, C. Parkinson, A. Torrie, L. Baty, P. Thompson, J. Griffin, R. Carroll, P. Cleary, T. Warren, R. McGregor, and Misses L. Scott, M. Pevreal, T. Hepburn. Mrs. Pevreal is the chaperon arid Mr. T. McGuffie the manager of the team.
