BRITAIN DISPLACED
TRADE WITH ARGENTINA AMERICAN SUPPLIES (Elec, Tel, Copyright—United Press Assn J (Reed. Feb. 29, 9 a.m.) BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 28. The United States replaced Britain as the chief supplier of Argentina’s imports in January, supplying 33,046,000 pesos compared with 19,193,000 last year. Britain supplied 25,348,000 pesos in January, compared with 20,590,000 last year. Germany held third place in the import statistics in January, 1938, but at present she is eighth.
