STORE SHEEP SELL WELL STORTFORD LODGE (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. A firm demand for quality ruled for fat cattle at the Stortford Lodge stock sale yesterday. Competition was keen for all classes in good condition. The store cattle entry was again negligible. Store sheep, despite the recent continued uncertain weather conditions, sold firmly, the rates showing little alteration. Good pens of lambs sold well, medium sorts being a little easier. Realisations were: — Fat Cattle. —Heavy bullocks, £l2 to £l2 15s; medium sorts, £9 18s to £ll 9s; cows, tops £9 6s, heavy pens £8 to £9, medium and light pens £6 to £7 6s; lighter weight heifers, prime summer beef, £7 10s; younger sorts, £5 6s. Store Sheep.—Early-shorn wether lambs in good order, 14s lOd to 15s 6d; woolly pens, tops, 17s 2d to 18s; medium pens, 13s 6d to 14s lOd; light to 10s 6d; mixed age wethers, medium order, 17s Id to 17s 8d; heavier lines to 20s 6d; five-year ewes, fair mouths, 18s 9d; two-tooth, 17s 6d to 22s 6d; ewe lambs, 18s. An attractive line of shorn Romney rams from Wairoa realised 15s Id. Fat Sheep.—Good lambs, 21s to 255; medium, 17s 3d to 19s lOd; light, 16s 3d; fat ewes, tops, 22s 6d; medium, 16s 9d to 18s 9d; light, 13s 7d to 14s 6d; wethers, tops, 21s 6d to 24s
