Loss to Gisborne Rowing

Members' of the Gisborne Rowing Club met yesterday afternoon to farewell three prominent representative oarsmen —the vice-captain for the past three seasons, Mr. L. J. Winslanley. who left Gisborne this morning to be attached to the denial corps at Trentham; the secretary for the past three years, Mi'. K. G. Monk, who has been transferred and leaves Gisborne on Monday to take up new duties in the cilice of the Public Trust. Wellington: and Mr. T. N. Bright, fbr two years secretary of tinclub’s social committee, who has enlisted and will be leaving Gisborne shortly. The captain, Mr. A. F. Allen, presented the departing members with tokens of the esteem in which they had been held while connected with the club. Best wistes were extended to them by Messrs. W. J. Hoy, T. Williams, and A. M. Terry, and the guests of honour suitably replied.
