BABY IN CLOSED CAR

RACECOURSE DISCOVERY When a constable and Traffic Inspector D. E. Morrow visited a motor car on the Te Aroha racecourse on Saturday they found a seven-months-old baby lying on the back seat in an exhausted condition. The parents had gone away leaving the cai> completely closed up. The child’s head was covered with a blanket and it was evident that the baby was suffocating. It was necessary for the traffic inspector to force the door open, and the police spent a considerable time in reviving the semi-conscious baby.
