TRUBY KING MEMORIAL
A late but nevertheless welcome donation to the Sir Truby King memorial fund was received by the Poverty Bay branch of the Plunket Society at its monthly executive meeting yesterday. The contribution, of £l, was from the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, and was gratefully acknowledged.
Those present at the meeting were Mesdames J. Blair, president, H. D. Chrisp, B. Dallas, R. E. Gambrill, Gordon Junes, H. Bennett, W. E. Goffe, T. Caesar, J. O. Musgravc, H. H. De Costa, and H. L. Primrose. Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from Mesdames I. D. Bramwell, C. L. Fogden, and A. M. Welham. A donation of a chair for the society’s waiting room was received from Mrs. W. A. O’Meara, and a vote of thanks was accorded to the donor.
